Another Year

Well, it looks like I have survived yet anothe year of shear torment from the universe. I just wish that things would eventually try to go the direction that I want it to. Like maybe career option opening up for me somewhere. Or, A large lump of money falling into my lap. I am not picky at this point.

Like in my last post, I have yet to be observed by my review team for my certification. You should keep in mind that they have very little time left to observe me. This create a lot of anxiety within me, because if they don't give the okay on my certification then I am really screwed. I really don't know what I will do then.

Only time will tell, I guess.

On the bright side, I got a $330 reduction in my car insurance........WoooHoooo!!!

I better go. I am getting sleepy and have a migraine trying to break free. I will update as soon as I can. And, if anyone who reads this post and has a job offer for me. Let me know.

Long Time No See!

Well, it has been a long time since I have been on here to write. I had almost forgot about this thing in all of the craziness of the yeah. For those of you who don't know what is going on in my life, I will update you.

The past couple of months have been interesting at school. Of course, when I say interesting I mean shitty. This is my observation year for my teaching certification which I have to pass in order to remain certified as a teacher. Well, my team decided that I only meet 2 out of the 10 requirements during my preliminary evaluation. Basically, they are saying that I am a really shitty teacher. Keep in my I am dealing with the really bad kids that no one else would touch with a ten foot pole. So, I have the whole month of January to prove to my evaluation team that I am a good teacher or else my certification will expire at the end of the school year. Can we say stress out the ass. I am also having to take my PLT test, which deals with educational theories that I have seen since my first education class a couple of years back. Fun fun.

On top of that, I have the administration breathing down my neck about the College Summit course that I am teaching. They first had the bright idea of making it a part of the English IV CP class, which screwed things up to no end. I am having a hard time just getting these students to do the literature and writing work that I assign them, and they want me to make the College Summit program successful. Now, they want me to also incorporate ACT and SAT prep into the class as well. I mean my god, how am I supposed to fit three different curricula into a 90 minute block every other day. I thought that administrators were dumb when I first started the profession, but they turn out to be complete morons when it comes to doing things properly.

Next, we have been dealing with new manager at the bookstore. Who was awesome at first, and then progressively started to ignore the crew that was at the store before and put all of her faith in the employees that she brought over from her old store. This concept sucked. I felt like she was basically alienating us from the store. But, I have a feeling based on this past week that things will turn around as the holiday season goes away. Only time will tell.

The rest of my life is pretty much boring as hell. I work all of the time. In the midst of all the other shit, I have managed to write about 75 pages of my book. I am hoping to get some more written soon. Then, stuck on the hopeless romantics ideal of trying to find a decent, non-crazy girl to possibly date. I know, I know good luck with that one.

I think that pretty much sums things up for the moment. I will keep everyone posted as things progress.
